June 2024 we celebrated the one-year anniversary of We Write Las Vegas (WeWrite!). Initially, we wanted to have an annual student showcase in summer. We decided to postpone the event and after finding sponsorship support, we’re delighted to announce the date of our first student showcase, “Funcase” Sunday, December 8, 2024, 2:00-3:30 PM, in Paul C. Blau Theatre / Clark County Library, at 1401 E. Flamingo Road Las Vegas, NV 89119. This will be a hybrid event.
At WeWrite!, we encourage goal-setting and celebrating accomplishments–big and small. We look forward to spotlighting writers in our community and their growing commitment to their craft.
Today we announce two Funcase performers from classes JM Huck led last year. Niko Galindez attended all 4 sessions of the RepresentAsian series at IAF/Nuwu Art Studios. Melikabella Shenouda attended the Painted Poetry workshop at Left of Center Gallery, supported by Kundiman.
