Join WeWrite! instructor JM Huck for a series of free poetry workshops to reflect on race, ethnicity and culture as dimensions of belonging. In the first three weeks, the first 45 minutes will be spent looking at literary works by female Asian American writers, from the KUNDIMAN fellows publications list. The last 45 minutes will be used responding to these poems with suggested prompts or freewriting. In the final week, participants will be invited to the gallery to respond to artworks in the Forward exhibition.

Bring your favorite pens/pencils. Free notebooks will be provided by Nuwu Art. All experience levels are welcome.

JM Huck is a poet working on her debut collection. She is a polyglot who's lived over a decade abroad, most recently in Tokyo and Fukuoka, Japan. She identifies as Asian American with Pacific Islander heritage.
